Routers* -------- I configured the routers(the one use and the second one is for backup) for our office Network which is at the Head Office Only. This include IP nat the public IP with local static IP, Settings for dhcp. When i was at TTCL i was able to configure the router to allow some external users to have specific access to our network systems. Switches* --------- I worked in collaboration with other IT staff to configure all the cisco swtiches which we are using in every floor within our network. The statutory duties and responsibilities of the Controller and Auditor General are given under Article 143 of the Constitution of the URT of 1977 (revised 2005) and further elaborated in Sect 10(1) of the Public Audit Act No 11 of 2008. My Current position is Head of IT Unit, my responsibilities includes:- 1. Coordinate all activities concerning development of the office based computer systems i.e. installation, maintenance of computer hardware use of approved software packages 2. Undertaken programme development tasks to support system that has been approved 3. Perform Systems review in accordance with introduction of modern software and hardware technologies 4. Undertake periodic reviews of user manuals and ensure computer-training needs are adhered to 5. Audit of computerized Systems 6. Ensure maintenance of usable MIS infrastructure within NAO 7. Monitor efficient follow up on timely execution of contractual obligations for repairs on hardware by approved contractors. 8. Coordinate, consolidate and prepare annual work plans and budgets for the unit 9. Maintain up-to date inventory of all hardware as well software packages of NAO 10. Ensure security of access to computer systems. Currently we are working on preparation of Technical requirements for WAN implementation in collaboration with Director of ICT and his assistant from Ministry of Communication which will provide connectivity to all NAO branches, hence this requires us to have a broad knowledge on the networking activities for future effective management.
